Geodesic Dome-Home #4 sleeps six and features a massive, handcrafted king-size barnwood bed that is positioned to provide incredible views of the surrounding pristine forest. A dividing wall separates the bedroom spaces. On the backside of the wall is a handcrafted timber frame queen-over-queen bunk bed strong enough to hold four adults. There is a private, indoor bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom has a tub/shower, toilet, and vanity.
Outside you will find an additional bathtub. This outdoor bathtub is private and positioned so you can enjoy a relaxing bath while listening to the soothing sounds of nature. In addition, there is a private fire-pit, barbecue, and hammock. We provide one complimentary bundle of firewood for each day booked.
With 75 acres of private land surrounded by state land on three sides, you will have access to miles of trails for hiking and birding. Pine, cedar, spruce, and cherry trees provide a natural privacy barrier from neighboring accommodations. Neighboring accommodations range from 80′ to 300′ away. Please be careful driving in or out in the evening as there is an abundance of deer and other wildlife in the area. We seek to provide you with a unique, intimate interaction with nature, yet you are only a few miles away from the best beaches, restaurants, shopping, wineries, and golfing in Traverse City.
